Ottawa, August 2025 — Alliance Engineering & Construction Ltd. is honoured to be recognized as one of Ottawa’s Top 20 Best Places to Work 2025 by the Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Board of Trade. The annual awards program combines in-depth employer questionnaires with detailed employee engagement surveys, with more than 1,300 employees from dozens of local companies taking part this year.
“The research is very clear. Organizations that are employee-focused with high levels of engagement outpace their competitors and they’re far more resilient,” says OBJ publisher Michael Curran. “Getting named a Best Place to Work is a major accomplishment. It sends a signal to the community that these organizations get it.”
The recipients will be celebrated at the Best Places to Work Employer Summit in October, where business leaders and HR professionals honour achievements and share best practices from some of the region’s top employers. Alliance’s inclusion comes on the heels of its 15th anniversary and ISO 45001 certification earlier this year, reinforcing the company’s long-standing commitment to construction excellence and people-first values.
Reflecting on the distinction, Karine Génier (Director of Finance & HR) shared her appreciation: “What makes Alliance special isn’t just the projects we deliver — it’s the people behind them. This recognition reminds us that culture matters — that building together, supporting one another, and celebrating along the way makes Alliance more than just a workplace.”
A highly engaged team is a product of deliberate effort and ongoing feedback. It’s about fostering a culture where people feel inspired and know they are valued. Teams need to collaborate closely, but also need to take time to celebrate milestones together. Leadership must stay invested and approachable, offering both mentorship and flexibility. At Alliance, delivering career growth for employees and quality results for clients are inseparable.
We’d like to extend our sincere appreciation to the Ottawa Business Journal, the Ottawa Board of Trade, and the Workforce Research Group for recognizing and celebrating organizations that put workplace culture and employee well-being at the heart of their mission.
