Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital
Project Type: Mechanical Construction
About This Project

The Élisabeth Bruyère Hospital is the city’s oldest hospital and was the original Ottawa General Hospital. It’s one of three sites operated by Bruyère, an academic healthcare organization, and is the country’s largest academic palliative care unit.
Alliance worked with Trane to replace an air-cooled chiller at the facility. The machine helps cool water (or water-glycol mixture) and operates based on vapour compression, condensation, and evaporation. By absorbing heat from process water and then transferring this heat, the air-cooled chiller is used to provide consistent temperature and pressure.
