About This Project
The Innovation Centre is an industrial building west of downtown Ottawa. The building was once part of the Bayview Yards complex that included machinery storage, repair shops, and even a city maintenance garage. The remaining structure received heritage status and has been repurposed into an innovation-focused hub.
Alliance was hired as the mechanical, electrical, and design-build contractor for this LEED Gold certified building originally built in the 1940s. The retrofit and upgrade of the former City of Ottawa Workshops Building #4 provides a new facility to enable entrepreneurs to find resources and services and host networking and educational events.
