Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre
Project Type: Combined Heat and Power Plant Installation
Client: Royal Ottawa Health Care Group
About This Project

The Royal Ottawa MEntal Health Centre (formerly the Royal Ottawa Hospital) is a psychiatric hospital that houses 284 beds in its 400,000 SF building. It is a major branch of the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group (ROHCG).
Alliance was contracted to install a combined heat and power (CHP) plant. The CHP system helps generate electricity and power at the point of use. This process allows for heat that would otherwise be lost during generation to be recovered, harnessed, and put to use.
